General Questions

Is the free version fully functional ?

Yes! The free version includes unlimited changelog entries, search functionality, collapsible sections, and the professional default layout. It's perfect for single-product websites and includes all core features you need to get started.

Do I need technical skills to use this plugin ?

No coding required! The plugin includes an interactive shortcode builder that generates code for you. Just configure your options visually (layout, product filter, number of entries, etc.) and copy the generated shortcode. It's that simple!

Can I use multiple changelogs on one page ?

Yes! Use the `sakurato_changelog' shortcode multiple times with different parameters. Each instance is independent, so you can show different products, layouts, or filters on the same page. Example: show a compact layout for Product A and timeline for Product B.

Does it work with page builders like Elementor ?

Absolutely! Sakurato Changelog works seamlessly with all major page builders: Elementor, Beaver Builder, Divi, Gutenberg, WPBakery, and more. Just paste the shortcode into an HTML/Shortcode widget. Enterprise users can use native Gutenberg blocks with live preview.

Are all layouts mobile friendly ?

Yes! All 6 layouts are fully responsive and optimized for mobile devices, tablets, and desktops. The layouts automatically adapt to screen size, ensuring your changelog looks perfect on every device.

Email Notifications (Professional)

How do email notifications work ?

Users subscribe via a subscription form, confirm their email address (double opt-in for GDPR compliance), then automatically receive notifications when you publish new changelog entries. They can choose their preferred frequency: instant, daily digest (8 AM), or weekly digest (Monday 8 AM).

Is the subscription system GDPR compliant ?

Yes! We use double opt-in (confirmation email required), one-click unsubscribe in every email, and all subscriber data stays in YOUR WordPress database – no external services. Users can export their data and request complete deletion at any time.

Can subscribers change notification frequency ?

Yes! Subscribers can update their preferences anytime from the subscription management link included in every email. They can switch between instant, daily digest, or weekly digest, or unsubscribe completely.

Why aren't my subscribers receiving emails ?

Common fixes: (1) Check master switch is enabled at Changelog → Settings → Email, (2) Send a test email to verify SMTP, (3) Verify subscriber status is "Active" not "Pending", (4) Check "From Email" is valid on your domain, (5) Check spam folders, (6) Review email queue for errors.

Roadmap & Voting (Professional)

Is roadmap voting anonymous ?

Yes! Users don't need to create an account or log in. Logged-in users are tracked by WordPress user ID, while guests are tracked by a secure cookie. Each person can vote once per roadmap item. This maximizes engagement while preventing vote manipulation.

Can I disable voting and show read-only roadmap ?

Yes! Use show_voting="false" parameter to display your roadmap without voting buttons. Perfect for internal roadmaps or when you want to share plans without collecting votes.

What are the roadmap status types ?

Four statuses available: (1) Under Review – evaluating feasibility, (2) Planned – scheduled for development, (3) In Progress – currently being developed, (4) Completed – released and live. You can filter by status in the shortcode.

Import & Export (Professional)

Can I import changelogs from other systems ?

Yes! Professional plan includes import from JSON, CSV, and Markdown (Keep a Changelog format). Perfect for migrating from other changelog systems, GitHub releases, or manual markdown files. The importer auto-detects formats and validates data.

What's the maximum file size for imports ?

10MB maximum. If you have larger files, split them into multiple smaller files or contact support for assistance with bulk imports.

Which export format should I use ?

JSON – best for backups and transferring between Sakurato installations (includes all metadata). CSV – perfect for analysis in Excel/Google Sheets. Markdown – ideal for version control (Git) and Keep a Changelog format.

Technical Questions

Does it work with WordPress Multisite ?

Yes! Each site in your WordPress Multisite network can have its own independent changelogs, products, and settings. Perfect for agencies managing multiple client sites.

Can I customize teh design with CSS ?

Yes! All layouts use CSS custom properties, making it easy to customize colors, fonts, spacing, and more. Enterprise plan includes built-in color customization via White Label settings (no CSS required).

Where can I find product slugs ?

Go to Changelog → Products to see all your products and their slugs (URL-friendly names). You can also use the shortcode builder which automatically lists available products for easy selection.

Is it translation ready ?

Yes! Includes complete translations for English, Polish, Spanish, German, and French. Additional languages can be added using standard WordPress .po/.mo translation files. Also compatible with WPML and Polylang.

Plans & Pricing

What's the main difference between plans ?

  • Free: 1 product, default layout, unlimited entries.
  • Basic Pro: Unlimited products + 5 premium layouts.
  • Professional: Email notifications + import/export + roadmap voting.
  • Enterprise: White label + Gutenberg blocks.

Can I uppgrade or downgrade any time ?

Yes! Changes take effect immediately. Upgrades are prorated. Downgrades retain all your data but lock premium features until you upgrade again. Your changelog entries are never deleted.
