How Brand Colors Work in Templates
| Template Type | Uses Custom Colors? | Color Behavior |
|---|---|---|
| Default (Basic) | ✅ Yes | Your Primary Color and Text Color apply fully. Headers, buttons, and accents use your brand colors. |
| Modern (Premium) | ❌ No | Uses predefined blue gradient design. Your custom colors are ignored. |
| Classic (Premium) | ❌ No | Uses predefined elegant gray/gold scheme. Your custom colors are ignored. |
| Minimalist (Premium) | ❌ No | Uses predefined clean black/white design. Your custom colors are ignored. |
| Other Premium Templates | ❌ No | Each Premium template has its own professional color scheme that cannot be customized. |
💡 Why Premium Templates Don’t Use Custom Colors:
Premium templates are professionally designed with carefully chosen color combinations, typography, and spacing. These templates are “design systems” – changing colors could break the visual harmony and reduce professional appearance.
If you need brand colors: Use the Default (Basic) template with your custom Primary Color, or choose a Premium template whose colors match your brand.
Common Questions
| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| Why don’t my colors appear in Premium templates? | Premium templates have fixed, professionally designed color schemes. Custom colors only apply to the Default (Basic) template. |
| Can I use custom fonts? | No, fonts are fixed for PDF compatibility and consistent rendering. Premium templates use carefully selected font pairings. |
| Should I fill Header Text and Footer Text? | Only if you need custom formatting. Leaving them empty automatically uses your Company Data, which is easier to maintain. |
| What happens if I change branding after creating offers? | Existing offers keep their original branding. New offers use the updated branding settings. |
| How do I add my company signature? | Company signatures are uploaded in the Company Data tab, not here. See Section 3: Company Data Settings. |
